BC Psychological Association COVID-19 Psychological First Aid Service

Unsafe at Home Ottawa Text + Chat Support

“Unsafe at Home Ottawa is a secure text and online chat service for women who may be living through increased violence and abuse at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our counsellors provide emotional support, practical advice and referrals.” -from website 

PACE Society Sex Worker Relief Fund

"If you are a sex worker who has been negatively impacted by COVID-19 and reside in Metro Vancouver, we welcome your application for funds. We can provide financial relief in increments of $100-200 based on need and availability of funds. While all sex workers in need will be considered, we prioritize distributing funds to people of colour, Indigenous people, transgender individuals, and members of other marginalized communities. Please honestly self-identify with any marginalized communities you are a part of so that we can distribute funds appropriately. We are able to distribute funds by direct transfer into Vancity bank accounts, e-transfer, and in some limited cases, cash." -from website

BC COVID Rent Support

A temporary rent supplement for residents of British Columbia.

Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)

Temporary income support from the Canadian Federal Government for "workers Residing in Canada, who are at least 15 years old; who have stopped working because of reasons related to COVID-19 or are eligible for Employment Insurance regular or sickness benefits or have exhausted their Employment Insurance regular benefits or Employment Insurance fishing benefits between December 29, 2019 and October 3, 2020; who had employment and/or self-employment income of at least $5,000 in 2019 or in the 12 months prior to the date of their application; and, who have not quit their job voluntarily." BC Emergency Benefit for Workers

Tax free, one time $1000 payment for BC residents whose ability to work has been affected by COVID-19.
